Equality? by DinowCookie Equality? by DinowCookie
!!READ BEFORE COMMENTING!!

Recently I've been thinking about gender equality a lot.
I totally DO support equal treatment for males, females and anyone that's in between.. I am not against that at all, I completely support that Little Pixel Heart

Just, I think it's odd that many people pretend like there are no differences at all between men and women, because there actually are some differences.. that's just simple biology   I think people should stop denying/forgetting that..

I hate the stereotypes that the media have created of men and women.. I think the essence of being a sex lies within someones body, hormones and instincts, and that there are no other factors that can decide whether or not you're a 'real' man or woman..

Please let me know if you're using this stamp ^^
It's entirely free to use though

OF COURSE women are better at seeing colors and taking care of children than men! THEY WERE BIOLOGICALLY MADE TO DO SO.
OF COURSE there are more male bodiebuilders than women! THEY ARE BIOLOGICALLY STRONGER.

I support equality by opurtunity. NOT equality of outcome.

I Agree With This. However My Stance On Equality Is That We Are Not Equal And We Never Will Be.Some People Have Higher Intelligence and Some People Have More Skill Then Others.I Do Believe That We Should All Have The Same Rights And We Should All Be Treated With Dignity And Respect!

sure, they're different. they can still do similar things and can be made to think very similarly. if that wasn't the case, women wouldn't be filling traditionally "masculine" roles like entrepreneurship.

oh, shit - this is just gonna make two groups who want to kill each other very angry!

yeah i totally agree with this stamp!! i don't get why some people are trying so hard to deny the differences between the sexes...?? being different isn't a bad thing. we don't have to be the same. we can celebrate and appreciate each other's differences. but sadly some people are like "you say that men and women are different? that's sexism!!!" no, it's not. it's just reality.

i know that the opposing argument is like "society/culture/mass media advertising/etc is what caused the differences between women and men." well, no. society does exaggerate the differences between women and men but that doesn't mean society is the CAUSE. we are NATURALLY different. it's not just physical anatomy that differs: we have different hormones that affect our brain activity.

i think the world would be boring if men and women were the same. so i don't think it's a bad thing that we're different. you can see differences as positive things. there are positive things about both sexes. women are more emotional*, more affectionate, better at relating to other people, and better at understanding children. men are more likely to take risks to aim at high goals, more likely to be brave and protective of others, and more likely to concentrate on a task and get it done. we each have our strengths and weaknesses. it's interesting to me. i like to study this topic and read a ton of articles about it.

*(and yes i listed "more emotional" as a positive thing. yes it's true that women are more emotional than men, and no it's not a negative trait, contrary to popular belief. i am an emotional person and i embrace it as part of my personality.)

Differences are obvious also in animals (cats, dogs) that don't receive an education.
And the same differences are obvious in humans in all world, independently from their culture. Is all in function of the surviving of the species.

Gender equality should beans equal rights and possibilities, not gender erasing.

You're quite right on this.

I think actually if people start to foolishly regard their biologies in the future it could actually start being dangerous.

For example, birth control is a pretty gendered process. If biology doesn't matter in gender and you should never bring it up, how are you going to teach your children to use birth control/condoms without being a hypocrite? Even the applications for sex are different because of our bodies.

Something will be definitely wrong when people start getting offended by sex ed because they make a difference just between male and female reproductive systems. xD Hope that day will never come. However nowadays people seem to get offended by anything and everything :S
This is dangerous in many ways

It's not really transphobic...

Transgenderism is often a result of hormones, instincts and their mentally wired "brain sex". Transwomen and transmen when studied under neuroscience have shown neuropaths and wirings which often would typically appear in which gender they want to be. Gender may be somewhat performative but it does have a biological and mental basis to it too. If the whole "gender is a social construct" thing was really 100% of the time the case you should keep in mind that would actually present an argument against transgenderism and transitioning out of your biological gender at birth, rather than supporting it. That implies feeling as if you're transgender is only performative, and therefore can be made light of and people don't have to take it seriously as an issue, because after all you choose your own gender, "gender is social construct".

'transgenderism' implies that it's an 'ism', which since 'ism' means a belief it implies that being trans is just sort of a 'belief' as opposed to a firm, solid point in someone's entire identity. plus the word also was used in the mental field to 'diagnose' being trans, and since then it has been shown that it is not any kind of mental disorder!

plus, saying 'trans' is a lot easier to type out, i think

Bruh. She's talking about somebody's sex, not gender. Sex is the biological identification you were given. Gender is what you percieve yourself to be. So unless you're a 12-year old neoproun supporting bigot who becomes offended when anybody discusses anything with no relation to the trans-community, you really shouldn't become so idiotic. (And this is coming from an agender female.)
